Carmel Art Association is the oldest Carmel art gallery, and the longest running member-run art association in California.

Located on Dolores between 5th and 6th Avenues, the gallery fronts the street across a courtyard with lush well-tended gardens. Within the spacious galleries, you will find landscape, still life, and contemporary abstracted works along with sculpture.  Representing 100 artists from within a 28 mile drive of Carmel proper, the gallery is noted for a stringent jurying process often accepting no more than one or two new members a year.

An exceptional sales staff allows you, the patron, as much time as you need to explore and discover treasures on your own but is always available to help you find  a specific painting, location, or style.

Artists refresh their work on the first Wednesday of each month, with a Saturday evening reception to follow.  Its great fun to see all the artists and arts supporters on hand, and a real “Mark your Calendar!” opportunity to build the rest of your Carmel visit around.

Mark your Calenders for the second Saturday of every month starting with our upcoming February show.

The gallery is within walking distance of dozens of exceptional shops, eateries, and the beach.  Street parking.
