I’ve been out and about painting up and down the coast these last few weeks, enjoying the fantastic summer weather (both heat and fog) and our particularly beautiful coastal atmosphere.
Most mornings, I’ve been painting from the deck of Nepenthe looking south and then east, trying to capture the elusive moment when the light hits just so. I never tire of the dance of light between the mountain ridges, or how the rising sun illuminates the fog bank blanketing the sea.
